God’s View

Read Psalms 74:1 through 78:72

Rachel took a daily walk. It obviously helped her health, but it also was a time for her to think and pray. She had been asking the Lord for a change in her job situation for over five years. Each time her foot hit the ground she asked God, “Why?” Wasn’t she living a life to honor Him? She saw no change in her situation, but she continued to walk.

Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God? (Psalm 77:13).

We get discouraged when our prayers aren’t answered. Sometimes we demand an answer in our timetable and to our liking. However, we must remember God has a perspective we do not have. If we could see through His telescope we would understand and never doubt. The Psalmist knew God answers prayer.

Just as Rachel continued to walk even though she couldn’t see the answer, we have to continue to trust. With every step of life we must remember God has heard our prayer in the past and He will again.

Prayer Suggestion: Lord, today I will look for Your perspective and depend on Your view rather than my own.

Quicklook: Psalm 77:1–20
